Syros was the main Greek port until Pieus took over at the turn of the Century. There are 2 districts of Syros that sit on hills next to each other, Old Syros, which is the Catholic district, and VrodadoHill which is the Orthodox district. Syros is a bustling cosmopolitan city with fine Neo classic buildings. Our photos of Syros show images of the neo clssic town hall, pictures of the Byzantine interior of the Metrapolitan Cathedral, Photos of the Neo Classic merchants palaces and Basilica. This photo collection also shows the medieval lanes & narrow streets of Anno Syros.
